Frequent questions
Is this only for big workshops?
No — from a single service van to a multi-bay shop with contractors and a fleet, it scales with you. A solo mobile mechanic can run their whole day on it; a bigger shop gets the compliance, tracking and reporting to match. Every feature is included at the founding price.
Can I import my existing client list?
Yes. CSV import is built in, and free however often you use it. If your current system’s export won’t fit, send us the file and we’ll help with your first upload at no charge.
Does it integrate with Xero or MYOB?
Xero integration is built (one-way, opt-in). Reports show each quarter’s GST and BAS figures, and your records export to CSV. MYOB is on the roadmap.
What happens if I cancel?
You keep access until the end of the billing period. Download your data first: Settings gives you a ZIP of every record and photo. If you then delete your workshop, it can be restored for 30 days; after that it’s deleted from our active systems, as the privacy policy explains.
Can customers book online?
Yes, and it’s included in the plan — not an upgrade. Customers get a booking page of your own, which you can drop onto your website as a button or put on your Google listing. They send a request rather than booking themselves in: you still decide what the job actually is and when it goes in the diary, because “brakes feel funny” can be half an hour or half a day.
Is there a mobile app?
The web app is fully responsive — works on phone and tablet. Add it to your home screen for app-like access. A native iOS / Android app is planned.
Where is my data stored?
In managed cloud infrastructure — encrypted at rest and in transit, daily backups, separate off-site copies every six hours, and yours to export at any time. The Trust page lists every region and provider we use.
Is there anything on top of the $99?
Only what you use. Texts sent from MechOS, rego lookups, and marketing sends and AI past the monthly allowance are pay-as-you-go, added to your monthly bill. Every feature is in the $99, and Settings → Usage & Billing shows what you’ve used as you go.
